East County Mortuary Helps the Grossmont Hospital Foundation

On behalf of the patients and families served by Sharp Grossmont Hospital and Sharp HospiceCare, the Grossmont Hospital Foundation would like to express their appreciation to Robert Zakar, owner of East County Mortuary, for your charitable support this past year. Last year donations contributed to Grossmont Hospital Foundation made possible, a new "Hana" table for special hip replacement procedures, Licensure and admission of patients at our third hospice house, Boita View Home, a new C.T. scanner to enhance the medical treatment of cancer patients and the successful completion of our $10 million Heart and Vascular Center.

As a not-for-profit hospital and hospice, we depend on private contributions to help provide progressive care to our patients. We want you to know Robert, that your support has made a genuine difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank your for your support. Sincerely, Beth Morgante, Vice President/Chief Development Officer.

Owner, Robert Zakar was co-chairman of this year's Masquerade Ball at the Del, benefitting San Ysidro Health Center's vital health services for children and seniors. This year's event was held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Hotel Del Coronado.

Whether a patient needs social services, mental health supports, medical or dental care, SYHC is there -- providing excellent quality, compassionate care. They are able to do this because of all the generous financial support. Every dollar that is given helps to provide services to the most fragile in our community, including the very young and very old. This year's event is poised to be their most successful ever, thanks to all of you!

Dear Robert Zakar,

Thank you for your kind and generous donation to our organization!  Your gift shows how much you care about supporting Firefighters and families who make sacrifices to serve our communities every day.  Our work could not be done without your support, and on behalf of our Firefighters, their families and the ones left behind, please accept our sincere gratitude!  Your donation makes it possible for us to care for Firefighters, widows and their children affected by Line of Duty injuries, illnesses and deaths, both in our region and behond.  Families will receive comfort, care, and resources to move forward with their lives and recover from devastating challenges and losses thanks to you.

East County Mortuary Once Again Donates to the El Cajon Library Family Play Day

Dear Robert,

I am writing to say thank you yet again for helping us out by donating 400 pieces of fruit for the hungry and hot kids of El Cajon, not to mention their parents!  Our Family Play Day attracted more than 350 people, who enjoyed learning how to make their own play dough and obstacle courses, used the rocket launcher, got their faces painted by the Teen Coalition from the El Cajon Parks & Rec Department, and generally reveled in hanging out at the library.

As always, the crowd reflected the rich and appealing diversity of our communities in El Cajon.  The library is a place where everyone comes together and celebrates what we all have in common:  we want our kids to thrive, learn and play, and we want to enjoy the blessing of the services and resources this city offers.  You are an anazing leader in this community, and we're lucky to benefit from your generosity and warmth.

With gratitude and appreciation,

Hildie Kraus
